MOROCC/AMERICA
In the moroccon desert in the south region near Ouarzazate, many film sets rest abandoned not only in the film studios but also in the surrounding landscapes. This American gas station is literally in the middle of nowhere in a place that does look very similar to the western landscapes of the United States. Built as a film set for an American horror movie set in New Mexico creates a strange dislocation between what it seems to be and what it is, changing the local landscape into something else. On the set an old berber guy and his dog seem to live or maybe to guard the place. |
